Why is Goal Setting Important?Goal setting is important because it provides direction and motivation. How to Set Effective GoalsSetting effective goals is all about making sure they are Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound (SMART) (Doran, 1981). Let's take a closer look at each of these components:
